Half Term is Here!

A great day out with the kids or grandchildren doesn’t have to cost a fortune this half term. At Symondsbury Estate we have fun, free activities that are perfect for creating quality family time together and getting out into the great outdoors.

Scavenge for Autumn’s Natural Treasures

Autumn is a wonderful time to explore the Estate as the leaves turn gold, colourful toadstools pop their heads out of the ground and the trees are heavy with berries, seeds and nuts. So why not pick up a FREE scavenger hunt check sheet in our Visitor Centre and head out to find the natural treasures that make this time of year so magical?

Running from, Saturday 21st October to Sunday 29th October.

Go Behind the Scenes on the Farm

On Thursday 26th October, we have just a few tickets left to join Alasdair from The Old Ways for a FREE walking tour of his farming enterprise at Symondsbury Estate.

Children and adults alike will love meeting the woodland pigs, pasture-raised turkeys and laying hens while learning about wildlife, conservation and the regenerative farming concepts he uses.

Go for a Stomp

If these walks give you a taste for getting outside, why not keep going? Park up in our FREE carpark and explore our myriad of footpaths.

Climb up Colmers Hill or go down Shute’s Lane into the spooky realms of the Holloways. Exploring these mysterious ancient sunken paths, decorated with carvings by unknown artists, is just like entering Middle-earth – and even if it’s raining the dense trees above give you an element of cover.
