The Tithe Barn is an elegant 14th century stone walled barn located at Manor Yard in the heart of the tranquil village of Symondsbury, West Dorset.

Our magnificent venue, the Tithe Barn, displays a perfectly atmospheric interior. Ceiling to floor entrances welcome you into the authentic and unique barn, bathing the exposed rustic oak beams in natural light. Able to hold up to 150 guests, the barn is large and spacious, including heated stone flooring and a wooden dance floor.

We believe every wedding is unique, and at the Tithe Barn you’ll be free to conjure up any imaginative atmosphere for your special day. The generous space provides flexibility when hosting your preferred decorations and themes to perfectly tailor your personality.

The fully licensed and staffed bar is located at the back of the barn, with a selection of your desired beverages ready for you to dance the night away.

Above the bar, a relaxed galleried area overlooks the venues large breadth. The area is perfect for a chilled-out sofa area or a photo booth – it’s all up to you. Across the stone flooring, there are cloakrooms that are as luxurious as they are accessible – suitable for all of your guests.

Our talented in-house catering team are also on hand in our own catering area in the barn, ready to cook up whatever suits your taste. Please contact us for more information and menu choices.

Fully licensed venue able to conduct Civil Ceremonies and Partnerships.

Use of the Tithe Barn on Friday (10am to 5pm), Saturday (8.30am to midnight) and access Sunday morning if required from 9am to 11.30am.

Our hire fee also includes a fully staffed paid bar and a Wedding Co-Ordinator on site all day and night to ensure you and your guests can relax and enjoy the day. You will also have full use of our professional PA System.

Please note: A £500 security deposit is required. This is payable with the balance, and provided there is no damage – it will be refunded after the event.

The venue hire includes: use of the Tithe Barn on Friday (10am to 5pm) Saturday (8.30am – midnight) and access on Sunday morning if required from 9am until 11.30am for clearing out any flowers and/or decorations. Mid week hire includes: use of the Tithe Barn on Tuesday (9am – 5pm) Wednesday 9am – midnight) and Thursday morning if required from 9am until 11.30am for clearing out any flowers and/or decorations. An additional £350 charge will apply for a Civil Ceremony. This includes an estate representative for the duration of the ceremony and wooden folding chairs for your guests. We are also more than happy to play music for any part of your ceremony using our professional PA system. Our hire fee also includes a fully staffed paid bar and an Estate representative/Bar manager on site all day and night to ensure you and your guests can relax and enjoy the day. A £500 deposit on a separate cheque is required against damage to the property or violation of the noise curfew. The damages cheque will be returned (or destroyed) after the event. In the unlikely event of any damage being done or the property being left in an unsatisfactory condition, the owners reserve the right to impose a reasonable charge to return the property to the condition it was in at the beginning of the let.
