This delightful clapboard cabin, complete with porthole and outside decking for making most of the sea air, is situated above the beach at Eype (meaning ‘steep hill’) which has been described as one of the area’s most beautiful villages, full of pretty thatched cottages dating back to the 18th century.
The main attraction, though, is the Jurassic Coast, right on your doorstep. Eype has a unique layer of rock known as the Eype Starfish Bed, formed 185-166 million years ago, which is famous in fossil-hunting circles for its brittle starfish relics. While these are rare finds, there are ammonites and brachiopods to be discovered at low tide as you amble along the beach which has been voted one of the best in Dorset.

Seaspray Overview
Perched above pretty Eype Beach, close to Bridport, Seaspray is a delightfully welcoming coastal cabin where you can enjoy seaside living and lungfuls of fresh air. The stylish accommodation has a light, bright, open plan sitting/dining room inviting you to fling back the French doors and make the most of inside/outside living, perhaps serving up some freshly caught mackerel cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. At night, the sound of the waves breaking below you will lull you to sleep so you can wake up refreshed, ready for another day of exploring.
If you’re feeling energetic, you can walk straight onto the South West Coastal Path to West Bay and Seatown, or climb to the top of Golden Cap, the highest point in the whole of the South West. If you’re a family looking for beach-life, or a walker or dog owner wanting miles of trails right on your doorstep, this is the perfect holiday house for you.
