Summer is truly here on the Estate and it’s great to see everyone enjoying themselves and making the most of their visit. The yard is bustling with visitors enjoying food from Symondsbury Kitchen on the terrace, exploring our beautiful shops and making the most of our stunning countryside. Those with the energy to climb Colmers Hill are rewarded by fantastic views, and those preferring a more gentle pace have plenty to explore.
We’re delighted to see lots of folk bringing their four-legged friends with them – dogs are an important part of the family after all, and we all love to see them; they may even get a free doggy treat in our Home & Garden Store.
Little dogs, large dogs, hairy or smooth – whatever size or shape, all well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay in any of our holiday properties, to accompany their owners in our café and shops and to get out and explore our walks. There’s even a beach close by where dogs are welcome all year round to share the fun of sea and sand.
All we ask is that owners are responsible and keep dogs on a lead near livestock, remember to shut gates, clear up after their dogs, make sure no plastic bags of dog poo are left in the countryside and avoid leaving their dogs in cars in this summer heat. And if you have all been on a long walk around the Estate, fresh water is always available for dogs in our café and shops.
So, there’s no need to feel left out. Symondsbury Estate welcomes a snuffly nose and a waggy tail at any time – and the rest of the family is very welcome too!
